Does the Yoji floor lamp need any wiring or assembly?
No wiring — it’s a plug-in lamp for any standard outlet. Light assembly is needed to attach the oak base sections and glass shades; a few minutes, no special tools. A foot switch on the cord turns it on and off.
How many bulbs does it take, and what kind?
Two bulbs, one per frosted globe — E26 or E27, up to 40W each. A warm-white LED (2700K-3000K) best complements the oak and gives the soft glow the frosted glass is designed for. Bulbs sold separately.
Is the light bright enough to read by?
Yes — two 40W-equivalent bulbs give comfortable ambient and reading light. The frosted glass diffuses the output to cut glare and eye strain, so it suits a reading corner or a spot beside a sofa or armchair.
What finishes does the Yoji come in?
Two oak finishes: white and walnut. White oak is light and airy for bright or Scandinavian rooms; walnut oak is warmer and deeper for mid-century or traditional spaces. Both use the same frosted glass globes.
Is the wood real, and will the grain vary?
The base is solid oak, so natural grain, tone, and figure vary slightly from piece to piece — characteristic of real wood, not a defect. Each lamp is handcrafted, so minor variation is part of the material.
