Beschreibung
Virella comes out of folk pottery — the painted stoneware that was made to be used, where a vine of leaves and berries was brushed around a rim because a plain edge looked unfinished. The shade keeps that logic: a wide brim, cream glaze, and the pattern where a hand would naturally run. Nothing is hidden. The bulb sits open below the rim and the walnut bead at the neck is left plain, so the painted border stays the only decoration on the piece.
Hand-Painted Vine Motif
A folk-style vine with brown leaves and red berries runs continuously around the shade rim, painted by hand so each piece differs slightly.
Plug-In Swag with 2 Hooks
Both ceiling hooks are included, so you route the braided cord into a swag and plug into any US outlet — no electrician.
Brass & Walnut Hardware
A polished brass socket cap paired with a turned walnut bead at the neck — solid materials, no plated plastic.

Because it plugs in, Virella suits renters and anyone redecorating without electrical work — above a nightstand, over a breakfast nook or two-seat table, at the end of a kitchen island, or in a reading corner where no junction box exists. The vine motif reads as a small textile-like accent, so it sits well with linen, oak or walnut furniture, and warm brass hardware. The open shade leaves the bulb visible below the rim, which is why a decorative filament bulb adds the most character here. For custom requests, .
Is the bulb included?
Yes — one Edison-style warm-light bulb at 3000K. The socket takes any standard E26 or E27 medium-base bulb up to 60W incandescent or 12W LED, so replacements are easy to find anywhere.
Do I need an electrician?
No. This is a plug-in swag pendant: mount the two included ceiling hooks (one above where the shade hangs, one near the outlet), route the cord through both, and plug in. The inline switch turns it on and off, so the whole install is renter-friendly and reversible.
Are ceiling hooks included?
Yes — two swag hooks plus mounting hardware. Use drywall anchors for a hollow ceiling, or screw into a joist for the most secure hold.
Is the vine pattern the same on every shade?
No — each shade is hand-painted by ceramic artisans, so brushstrokes, leaf placement, and berry positions vary slightly between pieces. The overall vine-and-berry style stays consistent.
How do I make it dimmable?
Use a dimmable LED bulb and add an inline dimmer cord between the plug and the outlet. Standard wall dimmers don’t control plug-in fixtures; inline dimmer cords are widely available.
