Blown glass keeps a record of how it was made. The Tobia leaves that record visible: the swirl running through the sphere is the motion of the gather itself, held still as the glass cooled. Tinting it lightly rather than fully was the second decision — colour thin enough to read as a wash of blue, pink, or yellow when the lamp is off, and thin enough to still pass warm light when it’s on. A slim cord and a small chrome cap keep everything else out of the way.
Key Features
Hand-Blown Swirl Glass
The spiral texture is formed while the glass is molten, so it runs through the wall of the sphere rather than sitting on the surface.
Three Soft Tints
Blue, pink, or yellow, tinted lightly enough to add colour to a room without dominating it or cooling the light.
Sloped Ceiling Ready
The canopy handles slopes up to 30°, and the 59″ cord shortens at install to whatever drop the room needs.
Available Colours
Blue
Cool and quiet against white or pale walls; the most neutral of the three when the lamp is off.
Pink
Warmest of the three lit and unlit — flattering over a bedside table or in a dressing area.
Yellow
Reads almost amber when lit; sits naturally with oak, brass, and warm-neutral rooms.

Use Case
A single bulb behind tinted glass gives ambient light rather than task light, which makes the Tobia a good bedside or entry pendant and a reason to add under-cabinet lighting if you run it over a work surface. Over a table, hang the bottom of the sphere 30–36″ above the surface; over a bedside table, drop it so the glass sits roughly at seated eye level or above, since the swirl is most visible from the side.
The small size is the one to multiply — two or three in a row over an island read better than one undersized sphere. The large works alone. Because the tint is light, all three colours sit comfortably with white walls, oak, and brushed metal; the yellow leans warmest, the blue coolest, and a dimmer widens the range of all three. FAQ
Will my pendant look exactly like the photos?
Close, but not identically. Each shade is hand-blown, so the swirl runs differently through every sphere and wall thickness varies a little, which also shifts how deep the tint reads. If you’re ordering several for a row, expect them to be siblings rather than clones — that variation is what distinguishes hand-blown glass from moulded.
Can it go on a sloped ceiling?
Yes, up to a 30° slope. Beyond that the canopy can’t sit flush and the cord may not hang true. On any slope, check the drop at the lowest point of the ceiling as well as the highest — the sphere ends up closer to head height on the low side than the measurement suggests.
Which size should I choose, and how many?
For an island or long table, use the small size in a row: two for runs up to about 5 ft, three beyond that, spaced 24–30″ apart centre to centre. For a single focal pendant — a round dining table, an entry, a stair landing — use the large. The small on its own can look lost over anything wider than a bedside table.
