Does this wall sconce need to be hardwired?
No — it’s a plug-in sconce. Mount it to the wall, then plug the cord into any standard outlet. No electrician, no junction box, no wiring into the wall. Ideal for renters and for walls without an existing wired light point.
Where can a damp-rated plug-in sconce be used?
Damp-rated means it tolerates humidity and airborne moisture — covered porches, enclosed patios, and humid indoor rooms. Because it’s a plug-in fixture with an exposed cord, we don’t recommend it for bathrooms; use a hardwired, GFCI-protected fixture there. Keep it away from direct water spray.
What bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
E26 or E27 socket, up to 40W incandescent or LED equivalent. A warm-white LED bulb best brings out the texture of the glass. Compatible with standard dimmers; bulb and dimmer sold separately.
What finishes are available?
Four base finishes: gold, chrome, white, and beige — all with the same textured glass diffuser. Gold reads warm and mid-century; chrome is cooler and modern; white and beige are the most neutral.
Can the cord be hidden for a hardwired look?
The cord is exposed by design for plug-in use. Many customers route it through a paintable cord cover or down to a baseboard outlet for a near-hardwired look — with no electrical work.
