Which size should I choose?
The ∅ 17.7″ suits bedrooms, nurseries and home offices of roughly 10 × 12 ft to 12 × 14 ft. The ∅ 21.7″ works as the main light in living rooms and primary bedrooms of about 14 × 16 ft. Both share the same slim 3.1″ profile.
Will it work with my ceiling height?
Yes – both sizes are just 3.1″ (8 cm) deep, so they suit standard and low ceilings alike. On an 8 ft ceiling the light leaves about 7 ft 9 in (236 cm) of clearance. It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box and controlled by a common wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
Do I need to buy bulbs?
No – the Gelsa uses an integrated LED light source, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace. The light glows softly through the alabaster, bringing out its natural veining.
How do I care for the alabaster?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Wipe the brass frame and clips with a soft, dry cloth as well. Switch off at the wall and let the fixture cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.
