Which model should I choose?
Both share the same ∅ 7.9″ sunburst backplate. Model A (H 17.7″) has a taller presence for hallways, entryways and stairwells, or flanking a fireplace. Model B (H 15.7″) is a little more compact – a good fit beside a bed, a vanity mirror or a console. Mount a pair of either model for a symmetrical look.
How high should I mount it?
For general use, mount the center of the shade around eye level, roughly 150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor. Flanking a vanity mirror, place a sconce on each side about 36–40″ apart; as a bedside light, place it so the shade sits about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the top of the mattress. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by a common wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This sconce takes an E14 or E12 bulb. Use an LED bulb at about 4–5W in warm white (2700 K) – warm light brings out the soft glow and veining of the alabaster. Bulbs are not included. E12 vs E14 guide →
How do I care for the alabaster and brass?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Dust the fluted brass backplate with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Switch off and let the sconce cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.
