Where does this sconce work best?
At ∅ 11″ × H 42.5″ this is a tall, vertical statement sconce – a striking piece for entryway alcoves, hallway galleries, stairwells and double-height walls. Mount a pair to frame a console, fireplace or large mirror, where its height reads as a column of glowing stone.
How high should I mount it?
Mount the center of the sconce at roughly 150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor, and allow clear wall space above and below for its full 42.5″ (108 cm) height. On a stairwell or double-height wall it can sit higher to suit the scale of the space. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
Do I need to buy bulbs?
No – this sconce uses an integrated LED light source built into the fixture, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace. The light glows softly through the hand-carved alabaster, bringing out the stone’s natural mineral veining.
How do I care for the alabaster?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Wipe the brass studs with a soft, dry cloth as well. Switch off at the wall and let the fixture cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations in the stone are part of its character, not a defect.
