Where does this light work best?
At ∅ 5.9″ × H 5.9″, the Avila is a compact sculptural accent for walk-in closets, pantries, small hallways, powder rooms and entryway nooks. In a long corridor, install two or three in a row for a calm, gallery-like rhythm.
Will it work with my ceiling height?
Yes – at only 5.9″ (15 cm) tall, it suits standard and low ceilings alike. On an 8 ft ceiling it leaves about 7 ft 6 in (229 cm) of clearance. It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box and controlled by a common wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This fixture takes an E14 or E12 bulb. Because the globe is compact (∅ 5.9″), choose a small LED candle or mini globe bulb at about 3–5W in warm white (2700 K), and check that it fits inside the shade. Bulbs are not included. E12 vs E14 guide →
How do I care for the alabaster?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Wipe the brass collar with a soft, dry cloth as well. Switch off at the wall and let the bulb cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.
