Where does this wall lamp work best?
At L 8.5″ × H 38.8″, the Ancora is a tall, slender wall lamp whose angled shade directs light where you need it – beside a bed or reading chair, flanking a sofa or console, or along a hallway. Mount a pair either side of a headboard for balanced bedside lighting.
How high should I mount it?
Because of its 38.8″ height, mount the lamp so the shade sits at a comfortable height for its use – usually with the top of the fixture around 60–70″ (152–178 cm) from the floor. Beside a bed, place it so the bottom sits about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the top of the mattress. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This wall lamp takes an E26 or E27 bulb. Use an A19/A60 or globe LED bulb at about 6–8W in warm white (2700 K) – LEDs stay cool next to the fabric shade. Bulbs are not included. E26 vs E27 guide →
How do I clean it?
Dust the fabric shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low; spot-clean a mark with a barely-damp cloth and let it air-dry. Wipe the metal frame with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners. Switch off at the wall and let the bulb cool first.
