Where does this sconce work best?
With its articulated swing arm, the Alcaraz is made for adjustable task light – beside a bed or reading chair, over a desk, or flanking a vanity where you want to direct the light precisely. Mount a pair on either side of a headboard for his-and-hers reading lights.
How high should I mount it?
As a bedside reading light, mount the canopy so the shade sits about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the top of the mattress, then swing the arm into position. Beside a chair or sofa, mount it roughly 120–150 cm / 47–59″ from the floor; over a desk, about 40–50 cm / 16–20″ above the surface. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This sconce takes G9 bulbs. Use G9 LED bulbs at about 3–5W in warm white (2700–3000 K) for comfortable reading light; compact LEDs stay cool behind the alabaster. Bulbs are not included. G9 & G4 bulb guide →
How do I care for it?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products. Wipe the brass arm with a soft, dry cloth and move it by holding the joints rather than the shade. Switch off and let the bulb cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.
