Inspiration
This wall sconce started from the swing cranes on old workshop walls and harbor sheds, a single long arm hinged at the wall and held up by one taut wire running back to a point above it. Workers swung the arm out over whatever needed lifting, then pushed it back flat when the job was done. We kept that hinged arm and the one supporting wire, and hung a single bare bulb from the tip instead of a hook.

FAQ
Does the arm move?
Yes. The arm pivots at the wall, so you can swing the light out over a table, a sofa or a reading chair, then turn it back toward the wall when you don’t need it.
How much room does it need?
The arm is 110cm/43.3″ long, so leave that much clear space in the direction it swings. It works well beside a dining table, over a sofa or in a reading corner where a ceiling light is not possible.
Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?
Yes. It is damp rated, so it can go in a bathroom or a covered outdoor area such as a porch under a roof. Keep it out of direct shower spray and rain.
Is a bulb included?
Yes. It comes with one E26 or E27 bulb in warm 3000K light. Since the bulb is exposed, a decorative globe or vintage-style LED bulb works well when you replace it. The sconce is hardwired, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.
