The Athena is a travertine pendant light kitchen island piece carved from a single block of natural travertine stone, finished in warm cream and honey tones. The hourglass cone profile — wider at the bottom, with a slight inward taper near the top — is hand-shaped, so every piece carries the stone’s natural personality: visible natural stone pendant light dining-grade pitting where mineral pockets once held water, cloudy striation lines marking the bedding planes of how the rock was originally formed, surface variation that reads as geological rather than decorated. When the warm E27 bulb glows from inside, the cream tones warm into honey and the thinner-walled sections glow with a soft, lantern-like translucence — the kind of light you’d expect from a shade made from a material that was, until recently, part of a quarry.
