Where does this lamp work best?
At ∅ 15.7″ × H 17.7″ the Fairmont has a generous shade on a compact frame – ideal on a nightstand, a living-room side table or a console. Its linen, leather, brass and walnut mix suits mid-century modern, organic modern and warm transitional rooms; place a matching pair either side of a bed or sofa for balance.
How do I position it and switch it on?
No installation is needed – set it on a stable surface and plug it in. With a 15.7″ shade, allow a little clearance from walls and headboards so the shade sits clear. On a nightstand, aim for the bottom of the shade to sit roughly at shoulder height when you are sitting up in bed. The lamp comes with a 150 cm / 59″ black wire with switch plug, extendable on request, and turns on and off with a push-button switch (not dimmable).
What bulbs do you recommend?
This lamp takes E26 or E27 bulbs. Use an A19/A60 LED bulb at about 8–10W in warm white (2700 K) – the cream linen shade softens it into a warm glow that flatters the walnut and brass. How do I clean the shade, leather and wood?
Dust the linen shade with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low; spot-clean a mark with a barely-damp cloth and keep moisture away from the leather whipstitching. Wipe the brass stem and walnut base with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid polishes and abrasive cleaners. Unplug the lamp and let it cool first.
