Questions, answered.
Where does this wall lamp work best?
At L 9.4″ × W 4″ × H 13″ the Atticus Alabaster is a compact sculptural sconce. Mount a pair to flank a powder room or bathroom vanity mirror, a headboard or a console, or use it as a gallery-style accent in hallways and entryway alcoves.
How high should I mount it?
Mount the center of the lamp around eye level, roughly 150–165 cm / 59–65″ from the floor. Flanking a vanity mirror, place a sconce on each side about 36–40″ apart; as a bedside light, place it so the alabaster sits about 15–25 cm / 6–10″ above the top of the mattress. It is hardwired to a standard wall junction box and controlled by an external wall switch (not included). We recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
What bulbs do you recommend?
This lamp takes an E26 or E27 bulb. Use a compact LED bulb at about 4–6W in warm white (2700 K) – warm light glows through the alabaster and brings out its natural veining. Bulbs are not included. E26 vs E27 guide →
How do I care for the alabaster?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone – clean it with a soft, dry cloth only and never use water, sprays or cleaning products, which can mark or dull the surface. Wipe the brass loop with a soft, dry cloth as well. Switch off and let the lamp cool first. Natural veining and tonal variations are part of the stone’s character, not a defect.
